Someone needs to step forward!

The women’s movement has come a long way in the past century when we first got the right to vote.

1.      Women are no longer the silent partner – they are equal partners.

2.      Working alongside men in jobs and professions never thought possible.

3.      Excelling as professional athletes.

4.      Breaking one glass ceiling after another!

However, with the arrival of the current US political direction our newly elected leaders are threatening to roll back all this progress.

Someone needs to step forward to express our concerns about a women’s role in today’s society. Our voices need to be heard!

Machisma Militia is defending us from the war on women’s rights in the battlefields on the streets and online. Our predecessors in the Suffragettes, Civil Rights Movement, and the Women’s Liberation Movement all put their minds and bodies on the line for what they thought was right. 

Standing on the shoulders of these courageous pioneers, our musical superheroes are using all their talents and skills to expose and resist all attempts to turn back the clock. Whether sexism or racism, minority rights, or attacks on the LGBT, we must stand together as one or the effects of this tidal wave of backward thinking could wash us all away.

Don’t despair, don’t give up. Our voices need to be heard now more than ever. Let’s join forces to protect the gains that we have made and lift the causes of women worldwide to even greater heights.
